Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Coattails is a product of Avvic Capital Group (“Avvic”, “we”, “us”). This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Coattails website, applications, and APIs (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — name, email address, and password (stored as a hash by our authentication provider) when you create an account; email address when you join the waitlist.
• Usage information — pages viewed, features used, watchlist contents, API requests (endpoint, timestamp, and key used), and similar product analytics.
• Device and log information — IP address, browser type, and request logs collected automatically by our hosting and security infrastructure.
• Payment information — handled by third-party payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
• Optional integrations — if you connect third-party credentials (for example, QuantConnect credentials in the Creation Lab), they are stored encrypted and used only to provide the feature you enabled.

We do not collect brokerage account credentials and we do not have access to your funds.

3. How we use information

• to provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
• to authenticate you and secure accounts;
• to process subscriptions and payments;
• to send service communications (e.g., confirmations, alerts you opt into, material changes);
• to send marketing communications you can opt out of at any time;
• to monitor for abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How we share information

We share information only with:

• Service providers that process data on our behalf — including hosting and deployment (e.g., Vercel), database and authentication (e.g., Supabase), payment processors, email delivery providers, and AI processing providers used to power product features;
• Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety;
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service (such as authentication session cookies) and analytics that help us understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in.

6. Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Usage logs are retained on a rolling basis. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing communications. We do not sell personal information, so no “do not sell” opt-out is required.

To exercise any of these rights — including account deletion — email admin@coattails.io from the address associated with your account. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, hashed credentials, role-based access, and row-level security on our database — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

The Service is operated from and directed to the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you consent to processing your information in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
